After finally making it to the top of the shoulder, I finally got my first good view of the cables (the faint white line that runs up the side). I feel lucky that the park was not crowded during this time of year. Veteren hikers told me how these cables can be packed with people. As it was, I only had to pass by 2 people on my way up.
