By the time the whale watch was over, rain showers moved in and stayed with me during my trip inland. However, as soon as I crested Burke's Pass, the clouds went away and I was in alpine country. The large lakes were really this electric blue. This view, across Lake Pukaki, is into Mount Cook National Park. Mt Cook is the tallest peak on the right. Lake Pukaki- South Island NZ
