While in Kiakoura I went on a whale watching trip. We did spy a few whales, but this trip is not like the one I did off Cape Cod. The whales here were Sperm whales, which are solitary, feed at depth and often stay down for 40+ minutes at a time. Cape Cod has Humpack whales, which travel in groups and feed at the surface. This guy was resting up for his next dive. Kiakoura- South Island NZ
